Bridging the gap between emerging developers and industry professionals

GamesPond is an annual, Melbourne-based game showcase that bridges the gap between industry professionals and emerging game developers. Our goal is to create a space for game developers to interact with industry professionals who are seeking an accessible way to give back to the local games community.

  • How do I know if I qualify as an emerging developer?

    An emerging developer is when a majority of your game's team has been in the games industry for two years or less. This includes those transferring from other industries, hobbyists and students!

  • What if my game isn't finished by GamesPond?

    Games are accepted to be showcased in any state! You could have fully complete games or prototypes. The night is more about introducing you and your team to industry!

  • What are the workshops?

    There are three workshops that will happen in the weeks before GamesPond and they are mandatory for showcasers to participate in. They will be either hybrid or fully online and will cover various content to help support your entry into industry!

  • Will the event cost to attend?

    Tickets will be sold at a low price to help cover the cost of running the event. The event will always remain free for those showcasing games!
